my chi is 1yr.old and im still having a hard time potty training him. i sometimes take him outside to go if the fdweather permits. then i also have the pee pads , its like if i dont give him enough attention he goes and poohs somewhere. then when he does go on the pad he pees on the edge of the paper.what am i doing wrong?hes extremely smart! he does speak to us he can pick out 10 different toys when told im just so puzzled about the potty training issue. please help. i do not put my dog in a crate. when i do leave hes in the kitchen fenced off with toys and a biscuit to chew on.i also put alittle gate up blocking off the hall way and the living room.its like as soon as i put the gates up he goes. go figure. please help!
