introducing me and Paco

Hi, I am happy I found a place for chi owners. I just got my first chihuahua day before yesterday. He's 12 weeks old and his name is Paco. I just love him to death, and he seems to love me just as much. I have to kids, ages 4 and 5 and I work full time. I took him to work with me yesterday but couldn't stand to leave him in his kennel cuz he cried so loud. I ended up holding him all day. I also put a soft blankie on my desk in front of me and he slept there right between my arms while I typed and worked. He already seems to be getting the house-training thing down. He did have two poop accidents in the house yesterday morning, but I blame myself. I had brought him out first thing and he pee'd, so I brought him in and was allowing him to run around while I got my coffee, etc. within 10 minutes he had pooped in two different places. Since then the only other accident has been that he pee'd on his blanket that I had on my bed once last night. I was planning to crate train him, but he cries so loud and pathetically each time I put him in there, that I end up getting him out. He always wants to be up on my lap, though and he doesn't run around much yet, except when I take him in my front yard to go potty.

Sorry if this goes on and on. I am excited to have my new puppy and I am full of questions and concerns and am anxious to make contact with people who know what they are talking about!

I hope to get replies to this and any suggestions you can think of. I will also be looking at all the other posts and guides on this site.

Nice to meet you all,

Jennifer
