I don't have any helpful things to tell you, but I wanted to respond because I feel bad for you. How sad about your other pup that died after surgery! I wonder are chis just very fragile or is it just bad luck you had or this litter of puppies? I hope everything turns out ok!

Yes, I have over 28 years of experience with chis and yes low blood sugar can be a big problem. To avoid this add a couple of teaspoons of WHITE KARO SYRUP to their water. Chi's use up a lot of energy and sometimes will not eat enough to need their needs. I feed my ALL my dogs Iams or Eukanuba puppy food for their entire life. We hardly ever have blood sugar problems.

My darling Patty, she is a beautiful chihuahua. she is an one-year-old deer head chihuahua that i got from a reputable chihuahua breeder.this is my first chihuahua. when i first brought her home, i thought she was sick as she was so timid and shy. And I don't know how to deal with it.So I search on the internet and want to learn some basic chihuahua health knowledge. Share with you all the most helpful article I have read, which is posted in chihuahua.dormitory, symptoms and signs of a sick chihuahua: see a vet!
