I love her to death but i am so scared i am going to spoil her. She doesnt like to sleep without me , and everytime i leave her alone she starts to cry and i cant help but pick her up... i am scared im going to hurt her cuz she is so small help!! she is one month old and the one of the cutest chihuahua's ever!!

I understand your concern, first off I don't think it's a huge problem to let her sleep with you, but keep in mind that if you ever change your mind it will be a very big task to get her used to sleeping alone. As far as tips for helping your chi adjust there are several products that are made just for this purpose, they are often heated and have a simulated heart beat, remember your chi is still very young and probably isn't used to being away from her mother, not to mention all alone. Another idea is to start crateing her, get her a small crate and and start putting her in there for short periods of time during the day, then at night you can position the crate some where near where you sleep and put her inside, this is good for two reasons, one she will be alone and two you can see her so you'll know if her whining is more than just the fear of being alone....In all you are right to be asking these question early because it is in a Chi's nature to be very clingy and if you wait too long to teach them what is acceptable you are going to have a very hard time changing old habits, as hard is it is to give such a cute dog tough love, it will make for a happier dog and a happier you,

Also another thing is i have school and i get so worried leaving her home , she crys when i leave her and it is a litte cold. I put her in a box and put a few blankets in with her is this ok ? and thanks for the reply

Leaving your pup home alone is fine but be sure to leave water out in a place that is easy for her to get too. I would highly recommend getting her a crate and putting blankets in it and getting a water dish that connects to the side or front of the crate, a crate will be much safer and more comfotable for your chi, also it will be a good time for her to become acclimated to a crate which should help solve your sleeping arrangement,

Crates are definitly a good idea. My parents Chi uses a crate, and knows it's 'his place' -- it's not a punishment, it's his place. Be careful to not use it as such, especially in the beginning.

My Parents chi (Floyd) will go into the crate himself if my parents stay up late watching a movie. He knows when it's bedtime, and does it himself.

I personally found the crate to be a bit excessive to keep around in my smaller apartment, and found quite often that she'd rather lay in a heap of my clothes... Now I've got a laundry basket with a couple of blankets in it, and it's HER bed. I just tell her 'bedtime' and she learned very quickly that it's time for bed, hops in her basket and climbs under the covers. (Burrowers!)

you can also give her ftoys and some chews , and a soft blanket along with some soft cuddly stuff animals. i bought a cradle for babydolls and i put it beside my bed and my chi just loves it. then we made a ramp for him to go up and down our bed, he is spoiled, but with so much love and affection. you just cant help it!! hes so smart!!!
